While Octillery still shoots water from its mouth, the drastic anatomical difference between it and Remoraid meant that for a long time, no one believed the former evolved from the latter.
Octillery is a Water-type Pokémon. It takes double damage from Electric and Grass, and resists Fire, Water, Ice and Steel. Its base stats add up to 480: the highest are Attack and Special Attack (105) and the lowest is Speed (45).
It is the second stage of its evolution line, along with Remoraid. Its abilities are Suction Cups and Sniper, and its Hidden Ability is Moody. It is in the Water 1 and Water 2 egg groups and can breed with 141 species. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl it learns 17 moves by level-up and 31 by TM.
BASE STATS
ABILITIES
The Pokémon uses suction cups to stay in one spot. This protects it from moves and items that would force it to switch out.
If the Pokémon's attack lands a critical hit, the attack is powered up even further.
Every turn, one of the Pokémon's stats will be boosted sharply but another stat will be lowered.
