Mega Altaria is the Mega Evolution of Altaria. Altaria Mega Evolves in battle while holding the Altarianite, and returns to normal when the battle ends.
It is a Dragon/Fairy-type instead of Dragon/Flying like Altaria. It takes double damage from Ice, Poison, Steel and Fairy, resists seven types, and is immune to Dragon. Compared with Altaria, it becomes weak to Poison and Steel, is no longer weak to Rock, takes double instead of quadruple damage from Ice, becomes immune to Dragon and loses its immunity to Ground. Its base stats total 590, 100 more than Altaria: Attack goes from 70 to 110, Defense from 90 to 110 and Special Attack from 70 to 110. Its ability is Pixilate; Altaria has Natural Cure, with Cloud Nine as its hidden ability.
