Fighting

With the Scrappy ability, its moves and Normal moves can hit Ghost types. It is also the type of Close Combat and Drain Punch, staples for many physical attackers.

Its attacks are super effective against Normal, Ice, Rock, Dark and Steel, and not very effective against Poison, Flying, Psychic, Bug and Fairy; they have no effect on Ghost. On defence it takes double damage from Flying, Psychic and Fairy, and resists three types: Bug, Rock and Dark. There are 73 Fighting-type species, 28 of them pure Fighting; the most common pairing is Fighting/Fire, with six species. It has 57 moves: 43 physical, 6 special and 8 status.
