Ground
Like Rock and Steel, it takes no damage from a sandstorm. In Double Battles, Earthquake hits every Pokémon next to the user, its own ally included.
Its attacks are super effective against Fire, Electric, Poison, Rock and Steel, and not very effective against Grass and Bug; they have no effect on Flying. On defence it takes double damage from Water, Grass and Ice, and resists two types: Poison and Rock. It is immune to Electric. There are 75 Ground-type species, 17 of them pure Ground; the most common pairings are Ground/Rock (9), Ground/Water (9) and Ground/Dragon (6). It has 31 moves: 19 physical, 7 special and 5 status.
