This chain of immense stones resembles a giant serpent. Tremors shake the earth above as it burrows deep beneath the ground, feeding on boulders as it goes.
Onix is a Rock/Ground-type Pokémon. It takes double damage from Ice, Fighting, Ground and Steel, quadruple damage from Water and Grass, resists five types, and is immune to Electric. Its base stats add up to 385: the highest is Defense (160) and the lowest is Special Attack (30).
It is the first stage of its evolution line, along with Steelix. Its abilities are Rock Head and Sturdy, and its Hidden Ability is Weak Armor. It is in the Mineral egg group and can breed with 53 species. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl it learns 18 moves by level-up and 32 by TM.
