Mega Staraptor is the Mega Evolution of Staraptor. Staraptor Mega Evolves in battle while holding the Staraptite, and returns to normal when the battle ends.
It is a Fighting/Flying-type instead of Normal/Flying like Staraptor. It takes double damage from Electric, Ice, Flying, Psychic and Fairy, resists Bug, Grass, Fighting and Dark, and is immune to Ground. Compared with Staraptor, it becomes weak to Flying, Psychic and Fairy, is no longer weak to Rock and loses its immunity to Ghost. Its base stats total 585, 100 more than Staraptor: Attack goes from 120 to 140, Defense from 70 to 100, Special Attack from 50 to 60, Special Defense from 60 to 90 and Speed from 100 to 110. Its ability is Contrary; Staraptor has Intimidate, with Reckless as its hidden ability.
