As soon as it’s born, it burrows into an apple. Not only does the apple serve as its food source, but the flavor of the fruit determines its evolution.

Applin is a Grass/Dragon-type Pokémon. It takes double damage from Poison, Flying, Bug, Dragon and Fairy, quadruple damage from Ice, and resists Water, Electric, Grass and Ground. Its base stats add up to 260: the highest is Defense (80) and the lowest is Speed (20).

It is the first stage of its evolution line, along with Flapple, Appletun, Dipplin and Hydrapple. Its abilities are Ripen and Gluttony, and its Hidden Ability is Bulletproof. It is in the Grass and Dragon egg groups and can breed with 157 species. In Scarlet and Violet it learns 2 moves by level-up and 2 by TM.
