Once the fruit growing alongside the main body is large and plump, Cherubi will use the nutrients within to evolve. The fruit then detaches, becoming nourishment for other creatures.

Cherubi is a Grass-type Pokémon. It takes double damage from Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying and Bug, and resists Water, Electric, Grass and Ground. Its base stats add up to 275: the highest is Special Attack (62) and the lowest are Attack and Speed (35).

It is the first stage of its evolution line, along with Cherrim. Its ability is Chlorophyll. It is in the Fairy and Grass egg groups and can breed with 139 species. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl it learns 11 moves by level-up and 19 by TM.
