Starmie swims by spinning its body at high speed. As this Pokémon cruises through the ocean, it absorbs tiny plankton.

Starmie is a Water/Psychic-type Pokémon. It takes double damage from Electric, Grass, Bug, Ghost and Dark, and resists six types. Its base stats add up to 520: the highest is Speed (115) and the lowest is HP (60).

It is the second stage of its evolution line, along with Staryu. Its abilities are Illuminate and Natural Cure, and its Hidden Ability is Analytic. It is in the Water 3 egg group and, being genderless, can only breed with Ditto. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl it learns 16 moves by level-up and 36 by TM.
