Mega Gyarados

Mega Gyarados is the Mega Evolution of Gyarados. Gyarados Mega Evolves in battle while holding the Gyaradosite, and returns to normal when the battle ends.

It is a Water/Dark-type instead of Water/Flying like Gyarados. It takes double damage from Electric, Grass, Fighting, Bug and Fairy, resists six types, and is immune to Psychic. Compared with Gyarados, it becomes weak to Grass, Fighting, Bug and Fairy, is no longer weak to Rock, takes double instead of quadruple damage from Electric, becomes immune to Psychic and loses its immunity to Ground. Its base stats total 640, 100 more than Gyarados: Attack goes from 125 to 155, Defense from 79 to 109, Special Attack from 60 to 70 and Special Defense from 100 to 130. Its ability is Mold Breaker; Gyarados has Intimidate, with Moxie as its hidden ability.
