Much remains unknown about this Pokémon, as few have ever seen it. However, we know that it is calm and dislikes conflict, and it enjoys polishing its face against trees and rocks.
Shieldon is a Rock/Steel-type Pokémon. It takes double damage from Water, quadruple damage from Fighting and Ground, resists eight types, and is immune to Poison. Its base stats add up to 350: the highest is Defense (118) and the lowest are HP and Speed (30).
It is the first stage of its evolution line, along with Bastiodon. Its ability is Sturdy, and its Hidden Ability is Soundproof. It is in the Monster egg group and can breed with 82 species. In Scarlet and Violet it learns 12 moves by level-up and 46 by TM.
