Lairon is a Steel/Rock-type Pokémon. It takes double damage from Water, quadruple damage from Fighting and Ground, resists eight types, and is immune to Poison. Its base stats add up to 430: the highest is Defense (140) and the lowest is Speed (40).

It is the second stage of its evolution line, along with Aron and Aggron. Its abilities are Sturdy and Rock Head, and its Hidden Ability is Heavy Metal. It is in the Monster egg group and can breed with 82 species. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl it learns 17 moves by level-up and 29 by TM.
